Yggdrasill is a gigantic tree that encompasses the Nine Worlds of Asgard including Asgard, Jotunheim, Svartalfheim, and Hel. Each of these realms exists as a separate ecosystem on a branch of the mighty tree. Midgard, another realm, is connected but not attached to the tree itself.
Background[]
In classic mythology as in the comics, Yggdrasill is a vague concept. The producers of Thor: Tales of Asgard decided to make it a physical tree to make it seem more real.
In real mythology, it is Yggdrasil with on L. In the comics and videos, it has two.
