A list of episodes from the third season of X-Men. The season features The Phoenix Saga and The Dark Phoenix Saga.
This season (as well as season 4) were originally broadcast in the order they were completed by the multiple different studios working on the show instead of in the intended order, causing the story to become extremely disjointed after the completion of the Phoenix Saga.

Summary[]
Wolverine would be forced to fight an old flame, and finds an alien spacecraft in the process. Upon investigation the X-Men learn that the ship belonged to a people called the Shi'ar. In an effort to protect the M'Kraan Crystal Jean Grey would realize her destiny as the Phoenix and make a great personal sacrifice. The X-Men would be lured back to the Savage Land when Sauron captures Storm. Archangel would become obsessed with the destruction of Apocalypse. Jean Grey would then return but become manipulated by a group called the Inner Circle Club into becoming the Dark Phoenix. The Shi'ar would return to put the Phoenix on trial.

PolyGram Video released "Sacrifice" and "Dark Shroud" individually and "Cry of the Banshee", "Starjammers", and "Child of Light" as a triple feature.
Universal Studios released X-Men: Out Of The Past feature the two part episode. X-Men: Savage Land, Strange Heart: Special Edition contained both "Savage Land, Strange Heart" and the entire Dark Phoenix Saga.
Buena Vista Home Entertainment released X-Men: The Legend of Wolverine which contained the two "Out Of The Past" and "Nightcrawler".
DVD[]
Universal released the entire Phoenix Saga in X-Men: The Phoenix Saga. X-Men: Reunion/Out Of The Past/No Mutant Is An Island contained both "Out of the Past" episodes. X-Men: Sanctuary/Weapon X, Lies and Videotape/Proteus contained "Weapon X, Lies and Videotape".
Buena Vista Home Entertainment released X-Men: The Legend of Wolverine both "Out of the Past" and "Nightcrawler". X-Men Volume Two contained the season up until "Child of Light". X-Men Volume Three contained the rest of the season.
