X-Men: Madness in Murderworld is a one-shot comic book that serves as a prequel to the video game of the same name.

Story[]

At a construction site the X-Men battle three Sentinels. However, the X-Men are overwhelmed and retreat. Professor X telepathically communicates with the X-Men from the Xavier Mansion and tells them that they must work together. However, Magneto, Blob and Juggernaut burst into the mansion. Magneto reveals that he arranged the Sentinel attack so the X-Men would be lured away so they could steal Cerebro. Professor X tries to defend himself by using a psychic blast to attack their minds. However, Magneto and Juggernaut are immune because of their helmets.

Back at the construction site Colossus is worries that something has happened with Professor X because he broke their telepathic link without explanation. Meanwhile, Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutant Terrorists leave with Cerebro and Professor X as their hostage.

The X-Men defeat the Sentinels and return to the mansion. As they arrive the X-Men see a giant hole in the wall of the mansion and realize that there were intruders. The X-Men find a videotape and play it. When the X-Men play the video they see Magneto and realize that he was behind what happened. Magneto says that he stole Cerebro so he could find other mutants to join his Brotherhood and that he kidnapped Professor X so he could use him as leverage to get the X-Men to do his bidding. The video ends with Magneto telling the X-Men that if they want Professor X back they have to go to the amusement park called Murderworld. Colossus mentions that if Professor X is at Murderworld than that means that Magneto is working with their enemy Arcade.

Meanwhile, at Murderworld, Silver Samurai, White Queen, Pyro, Wendigo, Juggernaut and Mystique are practicing fighting android duplicates of the X-Men. Magneto talks to Arcade revealing that he hired Arcade to trap the X-Men in his lethal funhouse and kill them. Just then the X-Men arrive to rescue Professor X. Professor X telepathically communicates with the X-Men and tells them that he is too weak to attack the Brotherhood with his telepathic powers, but he is strong enough to guide them through Murderworld's death traps.
