Wolverine is a former member of the X-Men.
Biography[]
Logan in his old age lived with his son Daken. Daken would get annoyed by his father's constant rambling and ended up putting him in a nursing home. At the nursing home Logan was reunited with several people from his past both friend and foe. However, a fight broke out between the elderly heroes and villains with Logan fighting Mystique. Daken entered the room and stopped his father. Daken then tried to take Logan home because he didn't want his father to get killed; however, this is only because Daken was using Logan to get his Social Security checks. However, Logan ended up moving to Miami. ("Grumpy Old Man Logan")

This version of Wolverine is loosely based on the version of Wolverine that appeared in the Old Man Logan comic book story arc.
In the Comics[]
In the Old Man Logan universe all of Earth's heroes were defeated which allowed supervillains to take control of Earth. When the X-Mansion was invaded by dead supervillains that somehow had been brought back to life Wolverine fought and killed all of them. However, this turned out to be an illusion created by Mysterio and Wolverine had actually killed his X-Men teammates including Jubilee.
For over a decade Wolverine had refused to use his claws and became a farmer in Hulkland. Logan was beat by his landlords, the Hulk Gang, for failure to pay his rent. Because of this Logan took a job escorting a now blind elderly Hawkeye across the country to deliver a secret package, possibly illegal. Along the way Wolverine and Hawkeye fought several supervillains.
Upon reaching Washington D.C., Hawkeye revealed to Wolverine that they package they were delivering was actually 99 samples of the Super-Soldier Serum which was to be taken by a new group of Avengers so they could tackle the villains. Unfortunately, the resistance movement was a hoax and the whole deal was part of a sting operation by S.H.I.E.L.D.. Logan was gunned down and Hawkeye was killed.
Logan was brought to the White House which was where Red Skull had set up his new base. However, Logan managed to kill Red Skull and escaped the White House. After defeating Red Skull, Logan returned home with the money for the Hulk Gang only to discover that they had killed his family. Logan then extended his claws for the first time in fifty years and tracked down the Hulk Gang and used his claws to kill them except for the infant Bruce Banner, Jr. who Logan decided to raise as his own.
