Vulture is a criminal who built wings to enable him to fly.
Biography[]
Vulture kidnapped several scientists. When Peter Parker went to Harry Osborn's apartment to borrow some clothes Vulture arrived and mistakenly believed that Peter was Harry and kidnapped him. Vulture took Peter to his air ship where the other scientist were being kept. Vulture was forcing the scientists to create weapons for him. Vulture then forced Peter to make an invisibility paint by threatening to harm the other scientists. Vulture then painted his airship with the invisibility paint. The first chance he got Peter was able to change into his Spider-Man costume and rescued the scientists. Spider-Man eventually deduced that Vulture was going to use his new weapons to steal a space probe that had collected valuable space rocks and minerals. However, Spider-Man was able to stop the Vulture and turned him over to the police.
Later, Doctor Octopus formed the Sinister Six. Around this time Spider-Man had gone missing and Deadpool had joined the Spider-Friends. When the Sinister Six robbed the Federal Reserve the Spider-Friends went to stop them. Deadpool told Iceman and Firestar that the Sinister Six had killed Spider-Man. In their blind rage Iceman and Firestar began to kill the members of the Sinister Six. Firestar used her power to burn Vulture alive. However, after all the Sinister Six were dead it was revealed that Spider-Man was still alive and Deadpool had lied to Iceman and Firestar.[1]

Vulture was voiced by Don Messick.
This is the first version of Adrian Toomes outside the comics. The Vulture Man who appeared in Spider-Man was based on the Blackie Drago version of the character.
