The Venom Symbiote is an alien lifeform that attempts to take over other lifeforms that it needs to survive. It attached itself to Spider-Man as a suit and gained his powers and memories.

Biography
Venom possessed a hot dog vendor and then he took over Spider-Man. He also tried to possess Hulk but failed.
Background
Since this version of Venom is just the Symbiote without a fixed host like Eddie Brock, he's voiced by his hosts' voice actors, similar to Chameleon in Spider-Man only being voiced when transformed.
