Valerie Cooper is an old friend of Charles Xavier; who became a United Nations liaison to the X-Men after his death.
Biography[]
Valerie arrived with a team to apprehend Bolivar Trask after the X-Men had destroyed his second Master Mold.
Valerie later showed up with a team of armed men at the X-Mansion to apprehend its new headmaster Magneto for his crimes. After Magneto voluntarily surrendered himself, Val Cooper was present at his trial at the United Nations that resulted in his pardon.
Valerie was revealed to be secretly a member of OZT the entire time she worked with the X-Men. During the Massacre on Genosha, which she was not warned about, she was injured and went into hiding, being presumed dead in the aftermath. She regrouped with Bastion and had a crisis of conscience, which led her to release the imprisoned Magneto.
