He got his first staring role on the show Incredible Crew, though it aired only one season before being cancelled. He then gained recognition on the film Dope as Malcolm, which earned him a place on the list of "The Twelve Major breakouts of the 2015 Sundance Film Festive." He also got a staring role on the Netflix show The Get Down, though that was also cancelled after half a season.
Moore's most prominent role came when he was the first to play Miles Morales on the Academy Award winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
