Sony Pictures Animation has announced the title for the upcoming sequel for the Oscar-winning feature film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The upcoming film will be titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Part One, which will be made back-to-back with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Part Two It was given a release window of October 2022.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are returning to produce. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson will direct while David Callaham wrote the story.
Sony released a video preview of the film. The clip alters the final shot of the first film by showing Miles Morales meets up Gwen Stacy. It then cuts to Miles in another universe fighting with Miguel O'Hara.
