Today is the release of Dune. The film is the second adaptation of the famed 1965 novel of the same name. The film was broken into two parts in order to properly adapt the epic story. The story follows Paul Atreides as he and his family is tasked with harvesting the incredibly valuable spice of the planet Arrakis thrusting his once-powerful house into an intergalactic war.
The film features the talents of Oscar Isaac as Paul's father Duke Leto Atreides, Josh Brolin as Paul's mentor Gurney Halleck, and David Dastmalchian as the Mentat of House Harkonnen Piter De Vries.
