Brian Kesinger was set to direct an untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe animated series but it was later cancelled.
Background[]
On September 15th, 2022, Walt Disney Animation Studios artist Brian Kesinger teased the development of an animated project with Marvel Studios. On his Instagram account Kesinger said, "I can't believe I actually get to say this but this fall I will be directing a new animated series at marvel studios! I can't share any more details yet because the project hasn't been announced but I can say it's VERY cool! Thanks to everyone who has supported me on my artistic journey. Excelsior!" This was accompanied with the Marvel Studios logo. He added the hashtag #mcu meaning the series will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.[1][2] However, the series was later cancelled.[3]
