Tony Stark is from the Marvel Cinematic Universe series What If...?.

Tony Stark is the armored superhero known as Iron Man. He was the leader of the Avengers that was turned into a zombie.

Biography[]

When Hank Pym went to the Quantum Realm to try and save his wife Janet van Dyne he was infected with a quantum virus that turned him into a zombie. Upon returning to Earth, Hank infected others with the virus.

Iron Man (Pre-Zombie) (Cinematic Universe)

Within twenty-four hours the entire Pacific Northwest was infected with the quantum virus and had turned into zombies. The Avengers responded to a zombie attack at the Golden Gate Bridge. However, the zombies overwhelmed the Avengers and several of them, including Iron Man, were infected with the quantum virus and turned into zombies.

Later, when Bruce Banner crash landed on Earth he was confronted by Ebony Maw. However, Doctor Strange opened a portal behind Maw's head. Iron Man stuck his hand out of the portal and shot Ebony Maw in the back of the head with a repulsor beam.

As Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Wong stepped through the portal they attacked the Black Order. However, Bruce soon realized that Tony and the other heroes were now zombies. As Iron Man was about to shoot Bruce with his repulsor beam, the Cloak of Levitation flew up, grabbed Iron Man by the leg, and threw him into Cull Obsidian.

As Tony stood up Ebony Maw used his telekinesis to suspend Bruce in mid-air. Iron Man, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian approached Banner and were going to eat him. However, a swarm of ants surrounded the zombies and began to devour them. Wasp then appeared and shot Tony in the neck with her stinger blast which decapitated him.
