- Tinkerer is from the Non MAU series The Spectacular Spider-Man.
Phineas Mason, also known as Tinkerer, is a genius inventor who has worked with several major supercriminals who fought against Spider-Man.
Biography[]
Tinkerer was under the employ of Chameleon when he helped make Quentin Beck into Mysterio.
He then began working for Doctor Octopus as he used the name Master Planner. He helped form the second version of the Sinister Six and rescued all but Mysterio as they were defeated.
He then helped Doctor Octopus escape and try to take command of all the computers in the world. However, while driving a van with Electro he was caught by Spider-Man.
He is later hired by Tombstone to create new suits for the Enforcers members Shocker, Fancy Dan, and Ox.
Powers and Abilities[]
No superhuman powers, but a very high intelligence. He can make a variety of different gadgets.
Personality[]
He was confused and annoyed that Mysterio wanted his robot duplicates to look just like himself. He taunted Spider-Man for being a "boy-scout", and believed he wouldn't kill him.

Tinkerer was voiced by Thom Adcox-Hernandez.
This is the first animated version of the character.
In the Comics[]
Has a son who is a spy for the government. He will help him even though they are on opposite sides of the law.
Also goes under the name Terrible Tinkerer.
Once tried to convince Spider-Man he was an alien by leaving behind a mask of his face and fleeing in a flying saucer.
Has worked for Black Cat.
Eddie Brock sold the symbiote at an auction held by Tinkerer.
