Biography[]
When Ben Grimm was in college he played football.
Ben went into space with Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and H.E.R.B.I.E. and was exposed to cosmic rays. The cosmic rays gave Ben super strength and turned his skin into rock. The four of them formed a super-her team called the Fantastic Four and Ben took the code name, Thing.
Sandro chose Thing to be his champion in the Space Olympics and abducted him against his will. However, Thing and the Fantastic Four were able to defeat Sandro.
Medusa once placed Thing under her mental control. However, H.E.R.B.I.E. was able to snap him out of it.
