The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a popular book. It follows a young girl from Kansas who travels to the far off and strange Land of Oz. One of the characters in the book is the Tin Woodman. At some point, a house drops on a character.

It was adapted into a film called The Wizard of Oz, and featured a song titled We're Off to See the Wizard.


Wolverine and Cyclops knew of the book. While confronting a Sentinel in a forest, Wolverine compared the robot to the Tin Woodman. When Scott was captured by the Morlocks, he felt as if a house fell on him like the character in the book.

Spider-Man also knew of the book. When he arrived on Counter-Earth he compared his life to that of the main character and wished to go back to "Kansas" meaning Earth.


The book was not actually named, only references to various characters, events, and places.
