Thanos is from the Marvel Cinematic Universe series What If...?.

Thanos was a genocidal warlord. He sought to bring stability to the universe by whipping out half of all life in the universe. However, when Thanos arrived on Earth, he was infected with the quantum virus and turned into a zombie.

Biography[]

Following the destruction of Asgard, Thor, Hulk, and the Asgardians escaped in the ship called the Statesman. However, a short while later the Statesman was intercepted by another ship called Sanctuary II. The occupants of Sanctuary II were Thanos and his Black Order. Thanos boarded the Statesman where he obtained the Space Stone. Both Thor and Hulk tried to stop Thanos but were beat mercilessly.

After Thanos obtained four of the six Infinity Stones, he made his way to Earth where the final two Infinity Stones were being kept. The Time Stone was in the possession of Doctor Strange and the Mind Stone was previously on the forehead of Vision, but had recently been taken by Peter Parker, T'Challa, and Scott Lang to Wakanda. Upon arriving on Earth, Thanos got the Time Stone. However, he was infected with the quantum virus and turned into a zombie. Thanos and his army then made their way to Wakanda where they waited outside the forcefield that protected the city, preparing to attack.

This version of Thanos is unvoiced. In other episodes of What If...? and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Thanos is played by Josh Brolin.
