Biography[]
T'Challa was sent away from Wakanda by his father, T'Chaka, to learn about the outside world. When he returned, his fellow Wakandans were glad to see him but not the chief elders.
They spotted a Chitauri soldier and T'Chaka became Black Panther to stop them. T'Challa followed and watched his father killed by Herr Kleiser.
He went to New York City seeking advice from Captain America, but got none. The Avengers infiltrated his lands and he told Captain America about their history with the Chitauri and vibranium.
When the Wakandans found the Avengers, T'Challa stopped their fight. However, because he had allowed outsiders in he was stripped of his crown. He then watched the Chitauri Command Ship destroy the Avengers' ship.
When the Chitauri laid siege to Wakanda, T'Challa defied the elders and asked Nick Fury for help. The Avengers, who had not been killed, arrived and destroyed the command ship. T'Challa joined Captain America in trapping Kleiser in a large block of vibranium.
Afterwards, the elders reinstated him as their king and the Avengers left. It is possible he joined the team afterwards.
Background[]
