Steve Rogers is from the Marvel Cinematic Universe series What If...?.

Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, was the co-leader of the Avengers alongside Iron Man. Following the quantum virus outbreak, he was turned into a zombie.

Biography[]

Captain America (Pre-Zombie) (Cinematic Universe)

When Hank Pym went to the Quantum Realm to try and save his wife Janet van Dyne, he was infected with a quantum virus that turned him into a zombie. Upon returning to Earth, Hank infected others with the virus.

Within twenty-four hours the entire Pacific Northwest was infected with the quantum virus and had turned into zombies. The Avengers responded to a zombie attack at the Golden Gate Bridge. When the Avengers were about to take on the infected, Captain America swatted at his neck because he felt like he had been bitten by an insect. However, the bite came from Hank Pym who had used the Pym Particles to shrink down. Hank then grew to full size and pounced on Captain America and continued to devour him. This infected Captain America with the quantum virus and he turned into a zombie.

When a small group of survivors, including Steve's former friend Bucky, learned that a cure for the virus might have been located at Camp Lehigh in New Jersey, they went to Grand Central Station to travel there by train. Upon boarding the train Sharon Carter was attacked by Captain America. Bucky heard her screams and ran to her aide. Bucky fought Captain America in hand-to-hand combat and was able to obtain his shield. Bucky then threw the shield at Cap's torso which split him in half.

Captain America is voiced by Josh Keaton replacing Chris Evans who played Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
