Spider-Woman is a series that aired between September 22, 1970 and January 3, 1980. It is currently the only series based on Spider-Woman. The series was produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, the last for the company before being incorporated into Marvel Productions.
Background
The series was rushed into production so as to acquire the copyright before NBC could release their own Spider-Woman cartoon. However, that series eventually became Web Woman so there was no problem.[1]
The series changed Spider-Woman's origin from an alienated spy to magazine editor who got her powers after being injected with a spider-serum as a child. The series did not feature her superhuman strength, instead giving her a Spider-Man-like Spider-Sense, spider-telepathy, and the ability to fly. The comics would eventually include the ability to fly.
