Spider-Man is the theme song to the 1967 cartoon Spider-Man.

Background

The song was composed by Paul Francis Webster and Bob Harris. The original song was recorded at RCA Studios in Toronto featuring 12 CBC vocalists (members of the Billy Van Singers, and Laurie Bower Singers groups).

It is rumored that John Semper, Jr. wanted to use this song as the theme for Spider-Man but was unable to get the rights.

Both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 featured characters as street performers performing the song. The 2002 film featured the original 1967 version of the song while Spider-Man 2 featured a re-recording by Michael Bublé. Spider-Man 3 also featured the song's melody during the scene where Spider-Man arrives at a big celebration.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker has the song as the ringtone on his cellphone and whistles the song while fighting Rhino.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming the theme is played during the opening over the Marvel Studios logo.
