The Snowmen are a group of primitive people that live in the North Pole.
Biography[]
When a meteor crashed over the North Pole, J. Jonah Jameson sent Peter Parker and Osa Olsen to investigate. While Peter and Osa were flying over the North Pole their plane crashed and Peter was knocked out. When Peter awoke he saw that Osa was missing. Peter changed into his Spider-Man costume to search for her. Spider-Man found Osa tied to the meteor and it was being carried away by a native people called the Snowmen. The Snowmen believed that the volcano in the North Pole was a god and were planning to throw Osa and the meteor into the volcano as an offering. However, Spider-Man deduced that the meteor would actually plug up the volcano causing it to build pressure which would destroy the island when it exploded. As the Snowmen were about to throw Osa and the meteor into the volcano, Spider-Man arrived and rescued both of them. Peter and Osa then left the North Pole.

The leader of the Snowmen was voiced by Paul Kligman.
The Snowmen previously appeared in "Neptune's Nose Cone" where they were from the south pole. "Down to Earth" was a re-make of that episode.
