Biography[]
Jennifer Walters was an assistant district attorney in Los Angeles. While Bruce Banner was on the run he went to stay with Jennifer. An accident in the kitchen caused an explosion. Jennifer was caught in the explosion and was critically injured. To save Jennifer's life Bruce gave her a transfusion of his blood. Jennifer later recovered. Bruce's gamma blood caused Jennifer to transform into a Hulk-like creature. However, unlike the Hulk, Jennifer could control when she transformed and she kept her intelligence.
As an A.D.A. Jennifer was trying to prove that a man named Jasper Bryn was involved with the terrorist organization known as HYDRA. HYDRA attempted to assassinate Jennifer but she transformed into She-Hulk and went after them. She-Hulk stopped the HYDRA agents who were then arrested by the police.
Jennifer was later successfully kidnapped by HYDRA. Jennifer managed to break free from her cell and learned that the Supreme Hydra and HYDRA planned to use a machine to pollute the air all across the U.S. and hold the country for ransom. When HYDRA tried to re-capture Jennifer she transformed into She-Hulk and defeated them.
Bruce then took Jennifer to a laboratory and conducted an experiment where he intended to transfer some of Jennifer's mental control over to himself. The the experiment worked and Bruce's mind was able to retain control when he transformed into the Hulk. Bruce could also transform into the Hulk at will. However, this was not permanent and Banner lost control of the Hulk who began to fight She-Hulk. While Hulk and She-Hulk fought Supreme Hydra was captured by Betty Ross who at the time had been kidnapped by HYDRA. Afterward, She-Hulk unmasked Supreme Hydra and was surprised to learn that he was not Jasper Bryn, but Dr. Steve Perry who was She-Hulk's personal physician.
Jennifer later met the real Jasper Bryn whom she learned was reformed and living a normal life. Jennifer and Jasper then went on a dinner date.
