Upon learning that M.O.D.O.K. was illegally downloading movies from a pirate ship in the sea near Boosaaso, Somalia, Nick Fury sent a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents consisting of U.S. Agent, Ch'od, and Howard the Duck to stop him. They were also helped by Punisher who was working undercover on the pirate ship for S.H.I.E.L.D. After M.O.D.O.K. was defeated, he was placed in The Raft. ("The Problem With Pirates...")
