- Red Skull is from the Marvel Productions Universe.
Red Skull was a high member of the Nazi regime during World War II and constant threat to Captain America.
Biography[]
Red Skull fought Captain America several times during World War II.
Hitler's buried treasure[]
In the present, Red Skull kidnapped a professor at Eastern State University named Hiawatha Smith because he had knowledge of buried Nazi treasure that was worth a fortune. This treasure also included new powerful weapons that were created by the Nazis that would allow him to take over the world. With this wealth and new weapons Red Skull intended to start World War III and take over the world. However, Hiawatha Smith was able to escape.
Hiawatha Smith then joined forces with the Spider-Friends and they discovered that Hitler's treasure was located in the Marabunta Jungle. By using the clues that he stole from Hiawatha, Red Skull also learned that the treasure was located in the Marabunta Jungle.
Red Skull eventually found Hitler's treasure located in a hidden temple. As Red Skull got away Spider-Man placed a Spider-Tracer on him and tracked Red Skull to Skull Island. However, Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar were captured and Red Skull had them strapped to missiles. Red Skull informed the Spider-Friends that he intended to launch the missiles at three of the most powerful countries. Each country would think the other fired the missile and this would start World War III. However, Hiawatha broke into Red Skull's hideout and freed the Spider-Friends and together they changed the course of the missiles so they instead hit Skull Island.
Capturing Captain America[]
Later, Red Skull kidnapped Captain America and intended to use a machine to make their minds switch bodies. Red Skull believed that with his intellect and Captain America's power, he would be unstoppable and could topple the American government and take control of the country. Red Skull nearly succeeded in switching bodies with Captain America. However, Spider-Man found Red Skull's castle and freed Cap from the machine. Captain America and Spider-Man fought Red Skull together. Spider-Man was able to force Red Skull into the mind swapping machine and Doctor Niemann activated it. Since no one else was hooked up to the machine, Red Skull's consciousness didn't have a body to inhabit. Because of this Red Skull's consciousness floated into the air leaving his body in a vegetable-like state.
Background[]
Red Skull was voiced by Peter Cullen on both series.
Red Skull appeared in the Marvel Mash-Up shorts that aired on Disney XD.
In the Comics[]
He once successfully changed bodies with Captain America using the Cosmic Cube, but it was undone when the Cube was destroyed.
