A Razor Bat is a bladed weapon used by Hobgoblin and Green Goblin.
Technology[]
The Razor Bat is a circular bat-shaped metal shuriken, featuring round blades on both its wing edges. A variant of the bat was housed in the Goblin Wing. These were yellow and shaped like saw blades. The Wing could fire numerous bats at high speeds.
Like the Pumpkin Bombs, the Green Goblin kept the Razor Bats close to hand within his satchel.
History[]
The Razor Bat was developed by Norman Osborn of OsCorp Industries originally for use by Hobgoblin. When Osborn became Green Goblin, he used the Goblin weaponry for himself. As with the rest of the goblin motif, its design followed a Halloween theme.
Using the Time Dilation Accelerator, the Green Goblin threw a Razor Bat to sever a webline upon which Spider-Man was swinging. Spider-Man himself later used a recovered Razor Bat to damage the Accelerator.
During his final battle with Spider-Man, Green Goblin attempted to use a Razor Bat to manually cut a webline attached to his Goblin Wing, but was overcome by his opponent before he could do so.
