Ragnarok, also known as the Twilight of the Gods, an event that will spell the end of Asgard and the Nine Worlds.
History[]
Ragnarok is merely a theoretical event that has been prophesied but not occurred. It occurs when the All-Father is killed.
Every year, the All-Father Odin enters his Odinsleep where he becomes vulnerable. Should Odin die during this, Ragnarok will occur. Thus, the forces of Asgard all prepare for an invasion and siege from Asgard's foes.
Ragnarok almost happened when Loki brought the Hulk to Asgard and separated him from Bruce Banner. Loki tried to take control of Hulk but lost it in a battle against Thor. Hulk then tried to kill Odin but at the last second was teleported to Hel by Hela.
Surtur intended to start Ragnarok.
