Norman Spencer (born February 23, 1958; died August 31, 2020) was an actor who played Cyclops on X-Men and Spider-Man; Grenade on UltraForce; and Drax on Silver Surfer. A Strangers spin-off from UltraForece was in development but never produced. Norm Spencer possible would have returned to voice Grenade in the series. On X-Men, he also provided the voice for the "Previously on X-Men" recap at the beginning of the episodes. Rumors suggested that he also played Havok, whose voice actor was uncredited, but this has never been confirmed nor denied.
He is the first to play Drax outside the comics.
Biography[]
He reprised the role of Cyclops for the video games X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.
Other notable works include Babar: The Movie, Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop, Forever Knight, Ultraforce, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, Earth: Final Conflict, Bait, Rescue Heroes: The Movie, Majority Rules!, and Rescue Heroes.
Spencer passed away on August 31st, 2020 at the age of sixty-two.[1]
