Nicolas Kim Coppola (born January 7, 1964), known professionally as Nicolas Cage, is an actor who plays Spider-Man (Noir) on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.


He is a member of the prestigious Coppola family of filmmakers. He is the nephew of famed The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola. He is a fan of comic books, having several tattoos of characters. In order to avoid nepotism from his family name, he went professionally by Cage, inspired by Marvel Comics hero Luke Cage.

He won an Academy Award for his role in Leaving Las Vegas.

He played Marvel superhero Ghost Rider in the films Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. He almost played DC hero Superman in the unmade film Superman Lives and does get to play him in Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. He also played Big Daddy in the Marvel film Kick-Ass.
