Fury is a member of a government agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate). This organization is responsible for covertly neutralizing terrorist and other threats around the world. Fury previously worked with Wolverine. Fury helped the X-Men and Brotherhood locate and free Wolverine and other mutants from Area 51. He also worked independently, and then jointly, with the X-Men to defeat Apocalypse.
