Bradley Shaw was a scientist that transformed himself into a humanoid spider called Nephilia.
Biography[]
Bradley Shaw's girlfriend, Penny, manipulated him into stealing a sample of Spider-Man's blood to give himself spider powers. Shaw injected himself with a serum made from Spider-Man's blood and exposed himself to low levels of radiation. However, Penny increased the radiation level which transformed Shaw into a humanoid spider monster called Nephilia. Penny manipulated Nephilia into fighting Spider-Man on a train with a gold shipment. However, when Penny left Nephilia and Spider-Man on a runaway train to die, Nephilia realized that Penny didn't love him. Nephilia then helped Spider-Man stop the train. Penny nearly got away with the gold but was stopped by Spider-Man and Nephilia. Spider-Man later created a serum that transformed Nephilia back into a normal human. When Nephilia transformed back into Bradley Shaw, he had no memory of being Nephilia.

He was an original character created for Spider-Man.
A similar character called Arachnoid would later appear in the episode "Attack of the Arachnoid" from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
