Biography[]
Quentin Beck used to be special effects expert that worked in Hollywood. However, Beck had an accident on a movie set which ended his career. Beck then took the costumed identity of Mysterio became a criminal that used special effects in his crimes. However, Mysterio would constantly be stopped by Spider-Man.
A director named Sam Blockbuster attempted to make a movie about Spider-Man but the production was plagued with problems and each actor that was hired to play Spider-Man ended up quitting. However, Mysterio revealed himself to Sam and said that he was responsible for all the accidents because he wanted to get the real Spider-Man to play himself in the movie. Mysterio told Sam that he would embarrass Spider-Man and show the movie to the world. When Spider-Man and the Spider-Friends came to Hollywood to star in Sam's movie, Mysterio attempted to kill Spider-Man by on set accidents that he caused. However, Spider-Man survived them all. The Spider-Friends later discovered that Mysterio was behind the accidents and stopped him. Both Mysterio and Sam Blockbuster were then arrested.
Mysterio once opened a night club in New York City. A live show was being televised from Mysterio's club and Mysterio was able to get Spider-Man to make an appearance. However, Mysterio used special disco music to hypnotize the patrons at his club and had them attack Spider-Man. However, Spider-Man escaped. Mysterio later played his music at Empire State University and hypnotized the students there. However, Peter Parker was immune. Mysterio controlled the students to attack a U.S. Army missile base so they could steal a nuclear warhead for him. However, Spider-Man arrived at the base and stopped the hypnotic music which broke everyone's trance. Spider-Man then returned to the night club and fought and defeated Mysterio.
Later, Doctor Octopus formed the Sinister Six. Around this time Spider-Man had gone missing and Deadpool had joined the Spider-Friends. When the Sinister Six robbed the Federal Reserve the Spider-Friends went to stop them. Deadpool told Iceman and Firestar that the Sinister Six had killed Spider-Man. In their blind rage Iceman and Firestar began to kill the members of the Sinister Six. Deadpool killed Mysterio by shooting him in the head. However, after all the Sinister Six were dead it was revealed that Spider-Man was still alive and Deadpool had lied to Iceman and Firestar.[1]

Mysterio was featured in the Marvel Mash-Up shorts that aired on Disney XD.
