Mr. Ortiz would often get drunk and hit his daughter Maria. When Mrs. Ortiz would ask her daughter about her bruises, Mr. Ortiz would lie and blame it on her being clumsy. With the help of Spider-Man and her friends, Maria was able to get the help she needed so her father would stop abusing her.
