The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a large sculpture carved into the side of a mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It features the faces of four United States Presidents: the first President George Washington, the third president Thomas Jefferson, the sixteenth president Abraham Lincoln, and the twenty-sixth president Theodore Roosevelt.
The actual mountain is different than the one depicted. Theodore Roosevelt's carving has glasses. The mountain stretches up much higher than the faces. There are no trees on top. The mountain is not as thick as portrayed.
