At some point Miek was forced into the gladiator games. Miek joined Hulk, Elloe, Korg, and Hiroim as part of the Warbound after the deaths of Laven Skee and Android. Together they defeated Margus and the other brainwashed Kronans, the Great Devil Corker, the Wildebots, the Eggbreaker, and Beta Ray Bill. He started off afraid of battle and tried to avoid it letting the other Warbound do the work for him. As their success continued the fans egged him on and he grew more confident. Bill freed the gladiators and slaves and the Warbound went to An-Sara. While there, Miek found that Governor Churik was going to betray them so Miek killed him, after he got one of his arms cut off. The Red King sent a group of Spikes there to destroy Hulk. The Spikes were defeated and Caiera joined the Warbound. The team then went to the Royal Palace where Red King was killed by his own Death's Head Guards.

Rather than killing Governor Churik, Miek meets a queen of his species who turns him into King Miek, a larger and more powerful version of his race.
