James Michael Reaves (born September 14, 1950; died March 20, 2023) was a writer on The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, and Spider-Man Unlimited.

Other notable works include Shazam!, The New Shmoo, Super Friends, Flash Gordon, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Smurfs, The Biskitts, The Mighty Orbots, Dungeons & Dragons, Challenge of the GoBots, Star Wars: Droids, Ewoks, My Little Pony 'n Friends, Jem, Spiral Zone, Superman, The Twilight Zone, Swamp Thing, Tiny Toon Adventures, The Real Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Peter Pan and the Pirates, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Conan and the Young Warriors, Batman: The Animated Series, Gargoyles, Young Hercules, Sliders, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, and Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II.

Longtime collaborator Steve Perry announced that Reaves had passed away on March 20th, 2023 at the age of seventy-two following a battle with Parkinson's disease. He was survived by his ex-wife Brynne Chandler and three children.[1]
