Marquis Michael Philip Des Barres (born January 24, 1948) is an actor who played Big Wheel on Spider-Man.
Biography[]
He is the twenty-sixth Marquis Des Barres from his French ancestry. His thirteenth century ancestor Guillaume II Des Barres was a French knight and bestowed the title of Marquis after rescuing King Philip II during the battle of Bouvines in 1214.
Des Barres is a rock musician. He was the lead singer of The Power Station and performed at the famous Live Aid benefit concert.
During the 1970s, he was heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol, saying he did it because his heroes did. In 1981, he sobered up and has stayed clean since. He was later one of the founding members of Rock Against Drugs.[1][2]
