Mary Kay Bergman (born June 5, 1961; died November 11, 1999), sometimes credited as Shannen Cassidy, was an actress who played Princess Anelle on Fantastic Four and Gwen Stacy on Spider-Man.
Biography
She is most famous for playing numerous roles on South Park and the film South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut including Liane Cartman, Sheila Broflovski, Shelly Marsh, Sharon Marsh, Carol McCormick, and Wendy Testaburger.
She is also well known for playing Scooby-Doo character Daphne Blake in the first three direct-to-video features Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost, and Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders. Following her death, Grey Griffin took over the role.
The Walt Disney Company had her voice Snow White, replacing the original actress Adriana Caselotti. This caused some controversy at the 1993 Academy Awards when Caselotti heard Bergman playing her role. Out of respect, Bergman never publicly admitted to playing the role while Caselotti was alive. She later worked on several Disney movies including Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Toy Story 2, Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure, and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
