Marvel Zombies is an upcoming television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will be the fifth animated series set in the MCU. This series will be a spin-off of the What If...? episode "What If... Zombies?!".
Story[]
The animated series from Marvel Studios reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge.
Instead of continuing the story that ended in "What If... Zombies?!", Marvel Zombies will show the same events from that episode just told from the perspective of a new group of survivors.
Background[]
Marvel Zombies is the first series produced by Marvel Studios to be rated TV-MA.[1] However, Echo was the first TV-MA Marvel Studios series to premier being that live-action series takes less time to produce then animated series.
The series will also be four episodes long making it the shortest series produced by Marvel Studios.[2]
The animation will be provided by Mikros Animation in Montreal and Bangalore and Cinesite in Vancouver and London.
It was initially reported that Marvel Zombies would premier in 2024.[3] However, the premier date for Marvel Zombies was pushed back to October 2025.[4]
