Reception

James Harvey of Marvel Animation Age felt the series was the best of the Marvel Anime titles. He felt that the creative team hit all right right notes. He enjoyed that while there were subplots throughout each episode was accessible on its own. He thought it had a better pace than the other series. He liked the different styles of vampires seen throughout and Blade's backstory. He noted that many characters told their origin the same way but didn't feel it was repetitive and only slowed the series down momentarily. He commended the animation, though it was occasionally weak. It felt it was as good as X-Men and the opposite of Wolverine. "Whether a fan of anime or Marvel Comics, this release is definitely Recommended to pick up. The madness of Blade’s world translates perfectly to the twisted stylings of anime, resulting in a visceral adventure that’s worth tagging along for!" [1]
