naht is the fifth animated feature from Marvel Animation and Lions Gate Home Entertainment and seventh overall. It was released on September 2nd, 2008. The feature was written by Christopher Yost, produced by Craig Kyle, and directed by Jay Oliva. Though it is an original story, it is inspired by comics like New X-Men, Runaways, and Young Avengers as well as the early years of X-Men and Spider-Man.
Wasp is one of the main characters in the animated features ua and ua2. She was voiced by Grey Griffin. This is the first version of the character in a film. In contrast to the comics, she is never referred to as a mutant nor does her husband Giant Man physically abuse her.

Twelve years ago, the Avengers finally found peace after fighting Kang, Kronans, and the Masters of Evil. Thor returns to Asgard after Odin dies where he has a daughter named Torunn. Captain America and Black Widow have a son named James Rogers. Hawkeye has a son named Francis Barton. Black Panther and Ororo Munroe have a son named Azari (Dempsey M. Pappion). Giant Man and Wasp have a son named Henry Pym, Jr. (Aidan Drummond).
After Hank was taken off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s super soldier program, Janet helped her husband change size and control ants. When the Chitauri began their attacks, S.H.I.E.L.D. initiated Project: Avenger. Nick Fury and Black Widow went to Pym Industries to recruit Janet. She then convinced them to recruit Hank after seeing him grow to sixty feet. At the first meeting, the group learned that the Chitauri were invading Earth since World War II and the group was need to protect humanity.

  +
However, Ultron (Tom Kane) returns and kills them all except for Iron Man (also Kane), Vision (Shawn Macdonald), and Hawkeye. Iron Man takes the children to a hideout in the Arctic while Vision spies on the villain. Believed to be dead and believing himself to be the last survivor, Hawkeye takes his son into hiding in New York City. Over the years, Ultron slowly takes over the planet.
The group went to protect a S.H.I.E.L.D. satellite facility but Wasp went ahead thinking she could evade the building's defenses. However, she triggered an explosive knocking her out. Iron Man and Giant Man defied orders trying to rescue her but were both knocked out. The alien got away and the facility was destroyed. Fury yelled at the team and they broke up. While Janet knew she had messed up, Hank just wanted to blame Captain America. When the Chitauri attacked the Triskelion, the team reformed and fought off the aliens. As Hulk went out of control, Wasp distracted the brute while the more powerful members fought him off. The team, dubbed the Avengers, celebrated and Janet kissed Steve (referencing the fact that in the comics they dated).

Over the years, James (Noah C. Crawford) has grown bored with his life while Torunn (Brenna O'Brian) believes her father will come and save the day. When Vision returns, the children accidentally activate the Iron Avengers, which brings Ultron to their hideout. Tony dons his Iron Man armor and fights off the villain while the children escape. They head to Ultra City to rescue Tony. While there, Torunn becomes injured and realizes her father won't just appear to help her. They meet Francis (Adrian Petriw) and the Scavengers and learn that Clint Barton has died. They rescue their father figure who tells them that he built Ultron. Betty Ross (Nicole Oliver) appears and tells them that Bruce Banner (Ken Kramer) and Hulk (Fred Tatasciore) are still out there.
Several months went by and the couple continued the Giant Man experiments while working on their rocky marriage. When they reached the size increase limit, Janet suggested they focus on decreasing his size but Hank refused to be a tiny hero. Fury then recalled the team after T'Challa, king of Wakanda and current Black Panther, revealed that the Chitauri had returned. The team went to Wakanda and Captain America went off alone with Black Panther. Wasp and the rest fought Wakandan warriors until Black Panther stopped them.

The group heads to the desert where Bruce refuses to help, reasoning that Hulk doesn't care. With no other option, James rallies the children to make a stand against Ultron and force Hulk into action. The Iron Avengers, under control of Ultron, appear but are destroyed by the kids, but the Iron Wasps anger Bruce releasing Hulk. Ultron appears to finish what it started and easily overwhelms the kids. Hulk proves a match but still not enough. Henry then teases Hulk getting him to rip the robot in half.
While leaving the country, Captain America left on his own. Hank said to let him go off alone. Tired of his arrogance, Janet argued with Hank and stormed off. Captain America returned with a Chitauri and Kleiser in disguise. The two attacked the Avengers, severely hurting Wasp in the process, and fled. Then the Chitauri's Chitauri Command Ship blew up their aircraft, but they were saved by Thor just in time.

Hulk takes Betty and leaps off. When Ultron begins repairing itself, Torunn takes the pieces and throws them into space but nearly dies. Thor (Michael Adamthwaite) saves her and welcomes her to Asgard, saying he wanted her to learn humility just as he did. Torunn is thankful but refuses to be with her Earthly family. She returns and the group decides to return to Ultra City to destroy all of Ultron's forces.
She woke up in the infirmary to find that the Avengers went to Wakanda and the world was under siege by the Chitauri. She met up with Betty Ross, who had discovered that gamma radiation could destroy the aliens. They tried to rescue Bruce Banner who had been nearly killed by his sadistic captor at the request of the Chitauri. The two flew to Wakanda to tell the Avengers how to destroy the command ship. She initially brushed off Giant Man, but became concerned for him when he volunteered to invade the ship with Iron Man. The two men came back but Hank was fatally injured. She forgave him and he died in her arms. With the Chitauri threat ended, the team held a funeral for Hank.

Critics and fans were confused at the choice to use the Avenger's children rather than have a sequel to ua2, or feature another adaptation of the Avengers comics. Many felt it was a watered down children's version. However, critics felt that the story was good for what it was, claiming it was the best story that had come out of the Marvel animated movies up to that point. Though they were disappointed with Henry Pym, Jr. being too annoying and felt Azari lacked enough character development. They liked how natural it was for Tony Stark to evolve from a playboy to father. They also liked the numerous references to Marvel stories. The film has since become one of the most popular videos, with the characters eventually appearing in the comics.

Next Avengers NAHT

Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow is the fifth animated feature from Marvel Animation and Lions Gate Home Entertainment and seventh overall.

Twelve years ago, the Avengers finally found peace after fighting Kang, Kronans, and the Masters of Evil. Thor returns to Asgard after Odin dies where he has a daughter named Torunn. Captain America and Black Widow have a son named James. Hawkeye has a son named Francis. Black Panther and Storm have a son named Azari (Dempsey M. Pappion). Giant Man and Wasp have a son named Henry (Aidan Drummond).

Over the years, James (Noah C. Crawford) has grown bored with his life while Torunn (Brenna O'Brian) believes her father will come and save the day. Betty Ross (Nicole Oliver) appears and tells them that Bruce Banner (Ken Kramer) and Hulk (Fred Tatasciore) are still out there.

Hulk takes Betty and leaps off. When Ultron begins repairing itself, Torunn takes the pieces and throws them into space but nearly dies. She returns and the group decides to return to Ultra City to destroy all of Ultron's forces.

Critics and fans were confused at the choice to use the Avenger's children rather than have a sequel to Ultimate Avengers II, or feature another adaptation of the Avengers comics. Many felt it was a watered down children's version. However, critics felt that the story was good for what it was, claiming it was the best story that had come out of the Marvel animated movies up to that point.
