Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC is a production company who produced Howard the Duck. It is most famous for creating the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises.
Biography[]
The company was founded by George Lucas to produce his films, and is named after him.
The company created Pixar Animation Studios. However, after the failed reception of the live-action Howard the Duck Lucasfilm was forced to sell the division. That company eventually partnered with The Walt Disney Company before getting purchased, who then later purchased Lucasfilm putting them back under the same company.
The company handles all aspects of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. Outside of those two series it has also made American Graffiti, More American Graffiti, Twice Upon a Time, Latino, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, Labyrinth, Willow, Tucker: The Man and His Dream, The Land Before Time, Radioland Murders, Red Tails, and Strange Magic.
