Biography[]
Dinosaur Army[]
Kraven the Hunter discovered a hidden island known as the Savage Land which was home to dinosaurs. Kraven stole several dinosaur eggs and planned to use his growth ray called the Growth Energizer to hatch the eggs and instantly grow the dinosaurs to full size. Kraven intended to use the dinosaurs to take over New York City. However, to make the Energizer work Kraven needed the Eye of India ruby and the help of Firestar.
Kraven later returned to New York City with some of the dinosaurs he had captured. Kraven purposely let some of the dinosaurs escape and attack New York City. This drew the attention of the Spider-Friends who re-captured the dinosaurs. Kraven then asked Firestar to be his guest at the museum when he unveiled the dinosaurs. Firestar instantly developed a crush on Kraven.
The next day at the museum Kraven showed off the dinosaurs he had captured. However, the dinosaurs broke out of their cages. The Spider-Friends quickly arrived and began to fight the dinosaurs. However, unknown to the Spider-Friends, Kraven purposely freed the dinosaurs. While the Spider-Friends were distracted fighting the dinosaurs, Kraven's assistant, Skelton, stole the Eye of India. Firestar followed Kraven and learned that he planned to use her to unleash his dinosaur army and take over New York. Firestar attempted to stop Kraven. However, she was instead captured by Kraven.
Kraven took Firestar to his lair which was at the New York Naval Air Base. Inside one of the hangars at the air base, Kraven created a replica of the Savage Land. Spider-Man and Iceman tracked Firestar to the air base and tried to rescue her. However, both of them ended up being captured by Kraven as well. Kraven told Firestar that unless she did what he wanted he would kill Spider-Man and Iceman. Firestar then focused a beam of heat through the Eye of India and a laser shot out through the Growth Energizer. The beam from the Growth Energizer hit a dinosaur egg and caused it to hatch. The T-Rex that was inside the egg instantly grew to full size. However, the Spider-Friends were able to defeat the T-Rex by trapping it in a tar pit. Kraven was then arrested and the dinosaurs were returned to the Savage Land.
Zabu[]
Kraven the Hunter was once hired by J. Jonah Jameson to capture the sabretooth tiger known as Zabu from the Savage Land so that it could be the Daily Bugle's new mascot. Ka-Zar tracked Zabu to New York City. When Kraven learned of this he knew that Ka-Zar would seek to rescue Zabu and set a trap for him. However, Kraven was defeated by Spider-Man.
Death[]
Later, Doctor Octopus formed the Sinister Six. Around this time Spider-Man had gone missing and Deadpool had joined the Spider-Friends. When the Sinister Six robbed the Federal Reserve the Spider-Friends went to stop them. Deadpool told Iceman and Firestar that the Sinister Six had killed Spider-Man. In their blind rage Iceman and Firestar began to kill the members of the Sinister Six. Deadpool killed Kraven by shooting him in the chest. However, after all the Sinister Six were dead it was revealed that Spider-Man was still alive and Deadpool had lied to Iceman and Firestar.[1]
