Jennifer Leigh Hale (born January 1, 1965), also credited as Carren Learning, is a Canadian-American actress who played Felicia Hardy/Black Cat on Spider-Man; Spider-Woman in the second season replacing Casey DeFranco and Ghost on Iron Man; Mary Jane Watson, Lady Vermin, Katherine O'Malley, and Haley Wing on Spider-Man Unlimited; Miss Allure on The Incredible Hulk; additional voices on Men in Black: The Series; a female reporter on Spider-Man: The New Animated Series; Jean Grey, Boom Boom, and various voices on Wolverine and the X-Men; Jean Grey on Marvel Anime: X-Men; Ms. Marvel, Corrina Walters, and a computer on The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes; Mantis on Lego Marvel Super Heroes – Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat; F.R.I.D.A.Y., Freya, Screaming Mimi, Songbird, Gabby Talbott, Layla, additional voices on Avengers Assemble; Mantis and an announcer on Guardians of the Galaxy; and Lilith on Midnight Suns: Prequel Shorts. Jennifer Hale has also been cast in the X-Men revival, X-Men '97, as Jean Grey replacing Catherine Disher.

She reprised her roles as Black Cat and Mary Jane Watson for the 2000 Spider-Man video game.

Biography[]

Although born in Canada, Jennifer grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She worked as a production assistant during high school and got her break in the 1988 made-for-TV movie A Father's Homecoming. Later she moved to Hollywood, California and has done voice acting since 1993. She won several awards for her role as the Female Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect series.

Jennifer would once again play the love interest of fellow Spider-Man Unlimited voice actor Rino Romano in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and The Batman. She also reteamed with fellow Spider-Man actor Christopher Daniel Barnes to voice Silver Sable on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

In 2013, she was recognized by Guinness World Records as "the most prolific video game voice actor (female)".
