Biography[]
Nathaniel Essex learned about mutants and became obsessed with learning about them. He began experimenting on himself to give himself powers. In order to carry out his experiments, he created Jack. Jack's purpose was to commit murders in England to get organs for Essex.
Jack and Essex were eventually discovered by James Xavier and the police.
Background[]
Jack's voice actor was uncredited.

Proposed Story[]
Had Spider-Man gone on, one proposed story would have had Spider-Man discover that Carnage was Jack. Following the events of "Farewell, Spider-Man", Madame Web would have taken Spider-Man to Victorian London to find Mary Jane Watson. However, Carnage would have been there committing murders as Jack the Ripper.
In the Comics[]
Jack is an entity from Dormammu's Dimension. Dormammu sent the entity to Earth where it bonded with a man named Thomas Malverne, who had sociopathic tendencies. The entity had Thomas commit the infamous murders.
The entity lived past Thomas's lifetime and continued committing similar gruesome murders.
Jack was pulled out of time by a sorcerer who forced him to fight Captain America. Jack was defeated and forced back to his time.
The X-Men were brought into the afterlife where Wolverine fought with Jack.
