JARVIS is the Artificial Intelligence system designed by Iron Man that serves the Avengers.

Not much is known about the creation and early existence of JARVIS.
Its purpose is to help Tony Stark in his mission as Iron Man. When the Avengers were formed, JARVIS helps to run the Avengers Mansion. Thor finds the AI disturbing and does not like it. Black Panther apparently has the ability to hack JARVIS.

JARVIS is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
First animated version to be based off the modern artificial intelligence version, having been popularized by the Iron Man film. Previous adapted versions are the classic human named Edwin Jarvis.
What JARVIS stands for has not been stated. In the novelization of the Iron Man film it stands for Just A Really Very Intelligent System. This version was later adapted into the comics.
