Shigemitsu Shirato (born August 30, 1931; died December 3, 2021), credited as Jōji Yanami, was an actor who played Bellebeau on The Monster of Frankenstein.
Biography[]
Yanami is best known as the voices of the Narrator, Dr. Flappe, Dr. Brief, Mousse, King Furry, King Kai, and Babidi in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Other notable works include Ken the Wolf Boy, Hustle Punch, Cyborg 009, Jack and the Witch, Pyun Pyun Maru, Animal Treasure Island, Jungle Kurobee, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, The Genius Bakabon, Time bokan, Grandizer, Yatterman, Lupin the 3rd, Space Battleship Yamato III, Magical Girl Lalabelle, Stop!! Hibari-kun!, Amazing Sarutobi, Magic Star Magical Emi, Super Mario Brothers: Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach, Knights of the Zodiac, Grimm Masterpiece Theatre, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Ape Escape, Transformers: Beast Wars Metals, Amazing Nurse Nanako, Digimon Adventure, InuYasha, One Piece, Tales of Destiny, and Yattâman.
He also provided Japanese dubbing for Masters of the Universe, Shining Through, Pixar Animation Studios's The Incredibles, Cars, Kung Fu Panda, Cars 2, and Kung Fu Panda 2.
Yanami died on December 3rd, 2021 at the age of ninety.[1][2]
