Hulk is the green skinned monster that Bruce Banner transforms into when he gets angry.
Biography[]
Bruce Banner created a Gamma Bomb for the U.S. Army. Banner was engaged to Thaddeus Ross' daughter Betty Ross. On the day that the gamma bomb was to be tested Rick Jones drove through the test site unaware of the gamma bomb test. Banner told Doctor Carlston to halt the test and ran out to save Rick. However, Carlston ignored Banner's orders and continued the count down. Carlston wanted Banner dead so he could steal his gamma ray formula. As the gamma bomb exploded, Banner threw Rick into a trench. However, Banner was caught in the explosion and exposed to massive amounts of gamma radiation. This turned Banner into the Hulk whenever he got angry. Banner, as the Hulk, returned home and found Carlston searching for the gamma ray formula. Hulk destroyed Doctor Carlston revealing that he was actually an android. An alien android called Number One, who was the one who built the Carlston android, kidnapped Betty and planned to use her as leverage to get the gamma ray formula. However, Banner transformed into the Hulk and was able to rescue Betty and stop Number One.
When cosmic rays began to bombard Earth, Banner was exposed to them. The cosmic rays caused Banner to transform into the Hulk even if he wasn't angry.
Bruce later cured himself of being the Hulk. However, Bruce had to expose himself to gamma rays so that he could turn back into the Hulk to rescue General Ross and Betty Ross who had been kidnapped by Spymaster.

Hulk was voiced by Peter Cullen in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and by Bob Holt in The Incredible Hulk.
In The Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner's clothes regrow when he transforms from the Hulk back into Bruce Banner.
In 1983 NBC aired a mock awards show called the Yummy Awards. The Yummy Awards was used to showcase NBC's upcoming children's cartoons. During the Yummy Awards an actor dressed as Hulk went on stage to accept his award.
This version of Hulk made a non-canon appearance in the episode "Comic Capers" from Muppet Babies. Muppet Babies was also produced by Marvel Productions.
Hulk was featured in the Marvel Mash-Up shorts that aired on Disney XD.
