How Yondu Ruined Christmas is a short, animated segment that was featured in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Story[]
Aboard the Eclector a young Peter Quill and Kraglin are decorating a small Christmas tree. As Yondu enters the room he angrily asks what they are doing. Peter then explains to Yondu what Christmas is. Peter hands Yondu a gift. However, Yondu slaps the present out of Peter's hand. Youndu tells Peter that Ravagers only get what they work for and that they don't accept handouts. Yondu kicks the Christmas tree and tells Peter that he hates Christmas before walking away.
Sometime later Yondu walks past a trashcan filled with Christmas decorations and presents. As Yondu looks inside the trashcan he sees a present with his name on it. Youndu unwraps the present and sees a toy troll doll that Peter wanted to give him and smiles as he looks down at it. Realizing that he was wrong about Christmas, Yondu gets Peter a present and places it in his room. As Peter enters his room, he sees the present and unwraps it to discover a twin pair of Quad Blasters.
