H.E.R.B.I.E. is from the Non MAU series Fantastic Four.

Humanoid Electric Robot B-Style, or H.E.R.B.I.E., is a robot and member of the Fantastic Four.

H.E.R.B.I.E. and the other heroes fought many battles against several supervillains.

H.E.R.B.I.E. was voiced by Frank Welker.

The character was original to Fantastic Four. He was created as the team needed a fourth member and the rights to Human Torch were tied up in a live-action project. Since the series began, a rumor developed that the series' producers were worried children would light themselves on fire to emulate him but this was since debunked.

The character was created by Stan Lee and initially designed by Dave Cockrum. However, Cockrum grew to despise the character so Jack Kirby came in to finalize him.

He was eventually introduced into the comics by Marv Wolfman and John Byrne. In the story, the Fantastic Four marketed their likenesses for a comic series and later animated series. It was explained that Human Torch was absent at the time the contracts were signed so H.E.R.B.I.E. was created. Mister Fantastic then created a robot based on that in-universe character.
