Groom's early life is unknown
At some point in his life he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, they tracked Michael Korvac to Earth and battled the Avengers. for him. They were able to make it clear to the Avengers that Korvac was a threat to sentient life.
It remains unknown what became of him afterwards.
